Bury The Hatchet

You know what, I'm a bigger man than all of this.

In fact, I'm willing to let bygones be bygones with Spank That Donkey. I really am.

I'm willing to shake hands, and continue my neutral stance on all this SWAC/Whackjob/Sayre/Hanger business. Why? Simply because I'm trying to end the in-fighting amongst conservatives.

Especially when there are much larger goals to achieve as an ideological group, especially since those representing the ideology need to unify, instead of bicker amongst themselves.

So, STD, do you agree that you and I both should get back to promoting conservatism? If so, just post your comment and lets officially bury this hatchet.

If you like Duncan Hunter you have conservative principles, because he certainly does.

You and I have had no fight, Whackette over at DWJ, and I have been having the 'dust up'. The others like Zen have always had nothing but derision for SWAC Bloggers...

I don't remember typing Phil C. you are not a conservative because you support Senator Hanger?

Republitarian has heretofore been an anti-tax blogger. I am going after him, because he is obviously swaying from that principle. I'd do the same for DJ McGuire, Jim Hoeft, Alton Foley, etc. Obviously those bloggers don't change their stripes....

I am pretty consisent here, and I think 'witch hunt' is accurate only if you think myron is witch :-)

See, STD, I do like a lot of what you stand for. I'm referring to the fact that appearances can be harmful, and I know that many people see it as a "witch-hunt".

And I don't support Hanger, that's the funny thing about all of this. In fact, I just posted my preference for Sayre.

I've only been snooping around the blogosphere in Virginia for 8-9 months, so the history of the more established blogs is sometimes a mystery.

Neither Republitarian nor I have come out in support of taxes, just as we have not come out with support for either candidate. When you continue to lie about this stuff it causes a problem.

You are so weak! You have not come out in support of taxes?

No, I have consistently said you two have consistently been against taxes..

That is why I am calling both of you up on the rug, for playing 'footsie' with Sen. Hanger, who is consistently voting for higher taxes...

How do you explain that 7 other bloggers who are just as anti-tax as you and your hubby, are blogging for Sayre?

It's called sticking to their principles... smaller govt. lower taxes....

Mr. Donkey,

Do you have any proof for your accusations? Other than the fact that we haven't supported your chosen candidate?

1. It doesn't make us pro-tax just because we have decided to remain neutral regarding this race.
2. It doesn't mean we support Hanger just because we haven't joined your 4Sayre team.

I don't know why you insist on lying about this when it only serves to cause a rift. Do you think that this type of bullying tactic will change people's minds? Is there room in your Republican party for people that may disagree on a few issues or is it an all or nothing deal?

I can easily explain the 7 bloggers blogging for Sayre. There is nothing wrong with picking a candidate you feel will do the best job and supporting him. Doesn't mean everyone else must pick a candidate or the same candidate.

It would be much easier to discuss other issues surrounding this race if you hadn't already proven yourself to be a liar and a bully. Those types of actions hinder discussion rather than promote it, but then maybe that was you goal all along. Keep any opposing views quiet for fear of being lied about and told they aren't republican any longer.
